First Molecular Horizons Symposium unites Researchers at TU Darmstadt

On October 14th the very first Molecular Horizons Symposium took place at TU Darmstadt. This collaborative event, organized by PhD students from the Molecular Microbiology group of Prof. Torsten Waldminghaus jointly with PhD students from JGU Mainz, brought together 50 participants from both universities at the Bio-Campus in Darmstadt to establish networks and collaborations. The idea was to bring together scientists focusing on different aspects of microbial systems.

The symposium featured eleven engaging talks from the participating research groups, covering a wide range of different topics. Additionally, twelve poster presentations provided an opportunity for participants to show their latest research, encouraging dialogue and networking.

The high number of participants and the lively networking contributed significantly to the success of the event. Given the positive feedback, organizers are considering a follow-up symposium next year to continue building these important connections.
