Courses for exchange students at the Department of Biology
In principle, you can find all the courses offered in the course catalogue of the campus management system . The current courses for the summer semester will be available from 1 March and the current courses for the winter semester from 1 September. Courses in the biology degree programmes are generally taught in German. A number of English-language modules are offered in the Master's degree programme. In some German-language modules it is possible to take the examination in English. TUCaN
A module is always structured to include several courses. These are usually lectures, tutorials or seminars and practicals. The lectures and many tutorials are open to all students. In all practical courses and in some seminars, there are only a limited number of places and prior knowledge is often a pre-requisite to enrol. Therefore, not all students can enrol in all practicals and seminars. When you submit your learning agreement, the International Coordinator of the Department of Biology will clarify with you which of your selected modules include a practical and seminar. If you arrive from outside Europe and do not complete a learning agreement, please contact the International Coordinator early on to discuss your choice of courses.
To help you find your way around the Department of Biology, members of the BioBuddies programme will provide guidance and support during your semester abroad or with your studies.
